Note for consumers in Karnataka State only
Notification dated 21.07.2011 from the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Govt. of Karnataka requires that all Domestic LPG consumers in Karnataka (existing and new) furnish the Electricity RR Numbers of their residence. This is a mandatory requirement for all LPG Consumers.

Oil Marketing Companies have now been asked to block the connections of those consumers whose connections have not been cleared by Food and Civil Supplies on account of the Electricity RR Numbers not being available.

To verify their status, EXISTING CONSUMERS may please log on to their website http://ahara.kar.nic.in
a. Click on the scrolling link provided on the web page.
b. Consumer can verify using "Verification Status" if his/ her consumer number has been cleared.
c. If not cleared, consumer has to approach the Office of the Dy. Director, Food and Civil Supplies OR the Taluk Office OR the HP Gas Distributor with the requisite documents (namely, 1. Proof of Identity, 2. Proof of address, 3. Copy of Electricity Bill and 4. Original of Subscription Voucher)
d. Resumption of LPG refill supplies can be done only after the verification is done and/ or clearance is obtained.
e. The refill booking of those consumers, whose connections are blocked at the instruction of the Food and Civil Supplies, would not get accepted on the various HP Gas refill booking facilities.
